BioWell, here's the run down...
22 years ago, my mother was killed by... something - we don't know what but we've been searching for it ever since. Dad raised my brother and I like warriors. You know fighting, guns, battle tactics that kind of thing, along with every detail of supernatural folklore he could find. When we became old enough, we started going on 'hunting' trips with him. Track down the things that go bump in the night before they can hurt anyone else.
Few years back, Sam - my younger brother, left us to go to school. Wanted a normal life and what things a normal life could offer. Can't blame him really – hunting’s not easy and there is no chance for anything normal.
I stayed with Dad and we continued hunting together. Recently, Dad went on a hunting trip and hadn't turned up in a few weeks. I wasn't too concerned until I got a voice message from him saying we were all in danger. So, I went to find Sam.
Now, he was living the good life. Had a nice little apartment that he shared with his knock-out girlfriend - Jessica. Seemed to be doing quite well for himself and really was not overly happy to see me. However, I was able to convince him to come with me to find Dad’s last known location, with any luck he would still be there.
Unfortunately, our luck wasn’t that good. He’d left the in the middle of a case, just up and disappeared leaving all of his belongings behind. Including a journal, his single most valuable possession. Everything he knows about every evil thing is in there. And he’s passed it on to us, I think he wanted us to pick up where he left off, you know saving people, hunting things. The family business. But, Sam wasn’t interested, wanted to get back to college life.
That, however, wasn’t meant to be. Sam found Jessica murdered the same way Mom was when he returned to the apartment. It was enough to change his mind – he came on the road with me.
Now, we look for Dad and in the process we kill every evil thing we run across along the way.
